About the workshop:

This is a complete hands on masterclass by Pastry Chef Sahil, a Le Cordon Bleu,Paris graduate. With the concept of Masterclass, he plans to share his knowledge on one topic at a time, in detail. This workshop in the series is all about Layered Cakes. And it’s completely EGGLESS.

What can you expect from this workshop?

The workshop shall cover techniques of preparing a variety of eggless sponges. Each different kind of sponge is then paired with a frosting that not only enhances the flavours, but also gives you a pleasant mouthfeel. In accordance with his training, Pastry Chef Sahil has come up with layered cake recipes that are mature in terms of flavour and could be replicated easily in your kitchen.The cakes that will be taught during this session are : 1. Chocolate Raspberry 2. Banana Caramel 3. Rose Pistachio In this workshop you will learn on how to frost and layer your cakes. There shall also be an extensive discussion on how you can curate your own cake combinations and the points to keep in mind while doing the same. Of the recipes, all will be demonstrated while Rose Pistachio cake will be a hands on experience for all. Thus, you learn much more at the same cost.

About Sahil - Sahil Garg started his journey in baking two years back and conducted a couple of workshops to share his love for baking. He moved to Paris last year to expand his knowledge and gain onto the french pastry techniques. After graduating as a Pastry chef from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, he interned with one of the most sought after chocolatiers Jean Charles Rochoux.
